This RV park is clean with spotless grounds and facilities. Cotton Lane is a 55+ park where most of the residents are snowbirds living in either mobile homes or park model homes.
There are a few pull through sites for campers on the move. These sites are available for people staying one or more nights and not staying for long periods. The rates are very reasonable with the nightly rate being $34.00 + tax, the weekly rate is $204.00 + tax and you will pay $599 + electricity and tax a month from November through April. You can take $100.00 off the monthly price for the other 6 months of the year. You have to pay extra for internet but there you can get free wi-fi in the activity center. There is no cable in the pull-through sites but there are more than 50 channels you can get with your TV antenna. and there is cable in the activity room but it is generally busy in there so it’s not dependably accessible.
Speaking of the activity room, it is a bustling place. Whenever I’ve been in there, there have been people playing card games, watching TV and working on puzzles.
There are many planned social actives for guests and residents alike. These activities are listed on a white board next to the Post Office. We missed the ice cream social but it looks like it was well attended. You can also play shuffleboard or a little golf.
If you enjoy swimming, an indoor pool is available.
You can also recycle your glass, plastic and paper in this park. In addition, the laundry room is clean and there are plenty of washers and dryers. You will pay $1.75 to use the washer and the same to use the dryer. If you'd rather hang your cloths to dry, on the outdoor cloths line.
As I mentioned the sites are clean, but not just clean, they are not messy. We park our RV so the stairs go directly to a cement pad. There are large pebbles surround the cement pad so there is no sloppy mud or sand for the dog to roll around in and bring inside.
This park seems to be a great place for snowbirds and it is a great place for short term campers as well. While all of the amenities here are top notch they aren’t necessarily what we look for when spending time in an RV park. We have other priorities in mind and I have rated this park according to our park criteria.
I give this park an A+ rating because for us
1. It is clean
2. It is close to great hiking trails
3. It is quiet at night
4. you can’t get free internet in your trailer, but there is free, fast internet available
5. the TV reception is great
6. dogs are welcome
7. there is a very long irrigation ditch with a dirt road on both sides right outside the park gate where we can run, or walk the dog
8. there is a place just to wash your car/truck
9. the people are friendly
10. you can watch military jets practice for air shows
If you find yourself in Goodyear, Arizona I highly recommend the Cotton Lane RV Resort.
we use this type of park now and then but mostly we prefer parks that are more rustic - I can understand this type of place for long term though and if you want a lot of social connection. Are you staying in Arizona? we were there in October for a week
