Lucious Lipstick Quilt Pattern

My 4th 10 inch square pattern is finished.  Find the original post HERE.

This quilt is made with the Lipstick 10-inch square bundle by Kaffe Fassett and the Bird of Paradise 10-inch square Half Stack from Kona Fabrics.

This is rendition of the traditional pattern called Double X.  This is the pattern I used to make the quilt.  You will have 3/4 of your second scrappy square left over when you cut this pattern, an I am developing a pattern that will use the leftover fabric.  Stay tuned.

Another 10 Inch Square Quilt

I am working on my 4th 10-inch square pattern.  For this quilt I used a Kaffe Fassett 10 inch 'Lipstick' pack from the Classics Collection and a half stack of Kona Cotton Birds of Paradise Collection.

I knew I wanted to do something with half square triangles so I sewed a bunch together.

From each set of a solid and print 10 in square I was able to get 8 half square triangle blocks.

The Kaffe Fassett bundle had 2 squares of 8 different fabrics and 3 squares of 2 different fabrics.  I used on square for the half square triangle blocks and I cut a 4.5 inch square from the second square of each of the different fabrics.  I arranged and rearranged the squares and finally decided on this block.

I had some great suggestions for the name of my last 10 inch square quilt.  I would love suggestions for this one.  I am so bad at naming quilts.  Any ideas?

If you love Kaffe Fassett I have just the fabric for you at Runnstitch.com.  I LOVE these fabrics.  While I can't have all of the collections in my shop, I can have a sample of each.  These 10 inch squares are great for your next scrappy quilt.  I also have this Cake Mix Quilt Book full of great ideas for your next patchwork project.  Find the fabrics here, and find the book here.  I also have Kaffe Fassett yardage in my shop that you can use for backgrounds and borders with these lovely precuts.
