Kaffe Fassett 10 Inch Squares

If you love Kaffe Fassett I have just the fabric for you at Runnstitch.com.  I LOVE these fabrics.  While I can't have all of the collections in my shop, I can have a sample of each.  These 10 inch squares are great for your next scrappy quilt.  I also have this Cake Mix Quilt Book full of great ideas for your next patchwork project.  Find the fabrics here, and find the book here.  I also have Kaffe Fassett yardage in my shop that you can use for backgrounds and borders with these lovely precuts.

2 Quilts from 1 Jelly Roll and 4 Yards

During my travels last winter I visited a fabric shop that sold everything Kaffe Fassett.  I had to buy some but what?  There were so many choices and options.  As usual,  I decided to purchase a jelly roll because of course, then I didn't have to choose only one or two fabrics.  I know that you can make a twin sized quilt with a jelly roll and a border, so I thought I bet I can make two quilts with a jelly-roll and 4 yards of fabric.  I thought I better pick out a couple of yards of two fabrics so I would have enough for my projects.  When I brought the fabrics home, I just sat and looked at their lovely brightness. I knew I must do something with them because these fabrics were not going into my stash to be stored until who knows when.

I sat down with a piece of paper and started figuring.  I decided to do a simple 16 patch and large square for one quilt...

And a half-square triangle and square block for the second quilt.

I actually needed more fabric for the borders because I bought the fabrics first and then decided what I was going to make with them.  Not always a good idea if you are trying to be thrifty.  I loved this fabric so much, I purchased some for my Run'n Stitch shop HERE

Welcome To My Shop

My shop is in my home, and while I'm open one day a week, I also encourage locals to call me to stop by for an appointment.  People tend to be a little intimidated when it comes to going to the home of a stranger to purchase a product so I made this video to encourage Petersburg residents to stop by and take a look at my shop.  I also encourage them to check out my class schedule on my website, Runnstitch.com

This video is also informative for people who purchase items from my on-line shop.  You can see how my items are arranged and stored.  All of my fabrics come from a clean, smoke-free home.

Blueberry Buckle

This summer I found a line of fabric I just love.  The designer of the fabric and the pattern is Marsha McCloskey, who has been in the business of comforting people for decades.  This fabric didn't pop out and catch my eye, it slipped subtly into my subconscious and triggered warm feelings.  I think the colors and pattern must have triggered a happy memory from days gone by.  I ordered the entire line and layer cakes for my quilting pleasure and to share with you.    You can find every fabric from this collection in my shop HERE.
